Lynsey Dobish
Osteopath & Occupational Therapist
Lynsey completed a degree in Physical Education with a concentration in sports performance in 2001. She went on to obtain her Occupational Therapy degree in 2007. During this time, she also worked as a personal trainer for high level athletes, while managing a training facility in Edmonton.
Lynsey has practiced as an Occupational Therapist in the Bow Valley since 2008. Specializing in chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder, she is considered an expert in these fields. Wanting to do more for her patients she returned to school. She finished her Osteopathy degree at Canadian College of Osteopathy with an award winning thesis that examined the effects of Osteopathic Manual Therapy on delayed onset of muscle soreness. Lynsey has since done additional training for concussions, migraines and headaches, immunity, digestive concerns and the vagus nerve.
Prior to relocating to the Bow Valley in 2008, Lynsey spent 10 years as an athlete on the national kayak team. After that she became involved in ultra-marathons (100-200km) and adventure racing, where she fell in love with mountain biking. Lynsey now spends her free time working as a Level 2 Air Professional Mountain Bike Coach and enduro racer. When she is not on her bike or taking courses, you can find her splitboarding, paddling, lifting weights or training for boxing and Muay Thai. To bring balance to her active lifestyle, she is also an avid participant in yoga, breath-work, meditation and chi kung.
As an outdoor enthusiast, athlete and holistic health care practitioner, she is passionate about getting her clients back to doing what they love and need to do.
